A Critique of the ISSN Position Stand on Meal Frequency: International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) publiserte i mars 2011 sin posisjon på måltidsfrekvens, men det er en rekke store limitasjoner til deres påstander.

Store og få, eller mange små måltider?

Sit-ups, ryggsmerter og prestasjoner – er øvelsen farlig? En flott artikkel av Eirik Sandvik; en studie (1) viser at sit-ups ikke fungerer bedre enn core stabiliserings program for å forbedre sit-ups ytelse, og en annen studie (2) viser at å bytte ut sit-ups trening med core stabiliserende trening senket antallet sykedager for soldater i det Amerikanske militæret. Likevel kan det dog finnes tilfeller hvor sit-ups trening kan ha fordelaktige effekter, men for folk flest er det an øvelse man fint kan droppe.

Detraining Prevention: Hvordan unngår man negative effekter på trening og diett under en ferie? Christian Thibauseau foreslår 1-2 uker med ekstra mye trening før ferien, for så å ta det med ro og spise mye under treningen og oppnå det som kalles for ‘superkompensasjon’..
